Drunk Brit air-lifted off The Peak after losing sense of direction

A helicopter was sent out in the early hours of Saturday morning to rescue… wait for it… a drunk Brit who got lost at The Peak. Classic Brits abroad!

The 27-year-old man reportedly lost his sense of direction at around 5am, suddenly finding himself in a heavily forested area of Victoria Peak.

He promptly fell down a steep slope and became stuck after getting his foot entangled in a predatory piece of rope.

After a two-hour struggle, the man finally swallowed any pride he had left and called the police.

Demonstrating the continued close relationship between Britain and Hong Kong (or perhaps a lack of anything else going on), they scrambled a Panther-class helicopter and firefighters to the scene.

The man was found just 200 metres away from Lugard Road and air lifted out to Conduit Road.

He was taken to hospital in Wan Chai for treatment of the scratches all over his body, but he left of his own accord.

Presumably to either top up or sleep it off.
