Doubt on bus ventilation after driver’s flu death

A KMB bus driver died of pneumonia after being infected with human swine flu H1N1 on Feb. 13, which a Federation of Trade Unions lawmaker Bill Tang commented that KMB staff had complained about poor ventilation on buses.

However, KMB spokesman said that the driver’s cabin and the whole bus have air filters and the supply of fresh air would not be worse. This is the first case of flu and the bus has been sterilised. Time to wear a face mask on public transport?
