A geographically challenged dog caused severe delays to East Rail commuters this morning when it apparently decided that rush hour was the perfect time to explore the ruff side of the tracks.

The inquisitive pup was spotted wandering around the tracks between Hung Hom and Mong Kok East at around 7:40am, according to the SCMP.
Side note: an MTR train captain said the dog was “tramping“, although we wonder if this specific situation should instead be dubbed “Lady-and-the-Tramping”.
MTR staff spent 55 minutes trying to guide the confused dog off the tracks as office workers no doubt wondered if being late to work because of a canine traffic emergency would make them seem barking mad.

Thankfully, the dog was coaxed off the tracks and into safety at around 8:38am. We don’t know about those commuters, but being slightly late to work on a Monday morning seems infinitely more favourable to us than having another dog killed by an oncoming train!
