Dog comatose, man hospitalised after apartment fire in Tok Kwa Wan

A man was sent to the hospital and a dog is comatose after a fire broke out on the eighth floor of an apartment building in Tok Kwa Wan, Kowloon City, yesterday at noon.

Two men, aged 26 and 29, who had two poodles and a cat, were both napping at home at the time of the incident, reports Apple Daily

Hearing a loud noise, one of the men found the living room on fire and ran out of the home with all the animals in hand.

The 29-year-old was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation, while one of the dogs is sadly in a coma after breathing in too much smoke as well.

It is believed the fire was started by a television short-circuit.

It’s not a good week for pet dogs. On Sunday a pet Shiba Inu dog died after falling 10 stories from its owner’s bedroom window. 🙁
