The driver of a seven-seater careened off the road and onto a traffic island in Kowloon on Sunday, after he reportedly felt faint and dizzy at the wheel.
Oriental Daily reports that the car crashed into and flattened a lamp post as the driver struggled to stop the vehicle. The incident occurred at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon on Ma Tau Wai Road, heading towards Tsim Sha Tsui.
A pedestrian standing on the traffic island fortunately fled in time and escaped with only a few scrapes and cuts to his hands and feet. The driver of the car and his passenger, a wheelchair-bound man, were also injured, but their airbags protected them from any serious harm.
The three men were taken to hospital for treatment. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
