A divorced couple who are still living together in Lek Yuen Estate in Sha Tin, while the ex-husband is waiting for a vacant public housing unit, attacked each other with a pair of scissors and wrench on Monday over a trifle, resulting in a blood-splattered apartment and hospitalisation from serious injuries.
The argument began when the 58-year-old man complained about his 50-year-old ex-wife cooking dinner late, which escalated to physical assault. The man suffered serious injuries on his head and chest and is currently in ICU, while the woman is in stable condition. They were found bloody and injured by their 24-year-old son, who lives with them in their 300 square feet apartment.
