Disco Biscuits: Hong Kong Airport customs find 3kg of meth in cookie tins

During an anti-narcotics operation at Hong Kong International Airport last Thursday, around three kilograms of suspected methamphetamine was discovered inside two biscuit boxes.

What has that naughty Mrs. Fields been up to? Talk about the icing on the cake!

Two men, aged 20 and 24, were intercepted by Customs officers and arrested.

The methamphetamine, estimated to be worth HKD950,000, was found hidden inside the biscuit boxes in a bag carried by one of the men.

The two were later charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug, the maximum penalty for which is life imprisonment and a fine of HKD5 million.

We guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

Sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves.
