Hong Kong Secretary of Development, Paul Chan, represented by his lawyer at court, was sentenced to a fine of HK$1,800 at the Eastern Court.
Chan was charged for careless driving when he crashed a taxi last August, after cutting lanes without signaling near Canal Road flyover in Causeway Bay.
Given his past record and Chan’s guilty plea, one minor careless driving conviction in 2006, the magistrate sentenced Chan to a HK$1,800 fine and also ordered him to attend a driving improvement course within the next three months.
