Deaf-mute woman sexually assaulted and robbed at knifepoint by man in carpark

Police are searching for a man in his 30s who sexually assaulted and robbed a deaf-mute woman at knifepoint in a Mong Kok carpark today.

At around 5am, the 45-year-old woman, who works as a car cleaner, was in a stairwell of a parking lot at Hoi Fu Court when a 30-something-year-old man approached her with a six-to-seven-inch-long knife, Apple Daily reports.

He robbed her of her iPhone 6 at knifepoint then allegedly forced her to perform a sexual act on him before fleeing.

The distressed woman followed him to Olympian City 2 before finding help from a security guard, who called the police. Police were not able to find the suspect after conducting a search in the immediate vicinity.

The assailant was described as a thin Chinese man, about 170 centimetres tall, with short black hair. He was wearing glasses, a white shirt, and beige trousers at the time of the attack.

Investigation by police officers from the Mong Kok District Crime Squad is underway.
