To the schadenfreude-riffic delight of many of her critics, Lawmaker Regina Ip was sent flying on Friday when a dancing “qilin” mascot bumped into her during a Chinese New Year celebration in Sha Tin.
It didn’t take very long before a Hong Kong netizen made a Facebook page for the dancing mythical creature, called the “Hit ReginaIp Monster”. It currently has 458 likes.
The page’s profile picture features a thought bubble above the qilin that says: “Oh crap! I’ve bumped into something dirty!”
