Cyclist, 23, killed and 2 others injured after car collision by Kai Tak Cruise Terminal

One man has died and two remain in hospital after they were injured in a car collision in Kowloon City last night.

The incident took place while the three men, aged 20 to 24, were cycling along Shing Fung Road, near Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. The cyclists collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction to them at around 10:40pm, police said in a statement.

One of the cyclists, aged 23, was sent to Queen Elizabeth unconscious and with serious head injuries. He was certified dead at 3:41am today.

The other two cyclists, aged 20 and 24, who were conscious, were sent to United Christian Hospital with minor injuries.

The 44-year-old man driving the car was not reported to have any injuries.

Police officers from the Kowloon East District’s traffic investigation team are investigating the cause of the accident. No arrests have been announced so far.
