Now you know why CY Leung is all smiles all the time – this man sits on a chair that costs HK$13,699! And when he gets sick of this chair he has another lavish chair to sit on as he has not one, but two, in his office.
If you want to sit on the same chair CY Leung does, Eames aluminium group chairs mode EA337VDL5401, the one that he has, will set you back HK$13,699, as reported by The Standard.
Lawmakers found the chairs used by Leung and his three top officials cost about HK$1 million. There are 72 chairs that cost HK$3,850 and another 100 chairs, totaling to more than HK$500,000 worth of chairs in just Leung’s office. The chief secretary spent HK$260,875 for 65 chairs, financial secretary HK$74,480 for 28 chairs and the secretary for justice HK$40,608 for 24 chairs.
Do you think government officials need to sit on such expensive chairs? Is it a waste of the public’s money?
