Court date set for mother in bogus baby abduction case

Trial for Ng Tin-yan, mother who concocted an abduction story of her baby daughter, Yue Hoi-ching, only to confess later that the baby had died and thrown in the trash, has been adjourned to Mar. 12.

32-year-old Ng is being charged for preventing the lawful burial of six-month old Yue Hoi-ching.

The court date was adjourned as the police is still waiting for laboratory reports on items such as Ng’s mobile phone and bed and mattress.

Ng did not apply for bail so remains in custody.
