Police are looking for a man, woman, and their dog who abandoned their Lexus in traffic after they bumped into another car on the busy road.
Well the man and woman ran way. The dog, looking somewhat confused and possibly feeling reluctant to decamp from the scene of a minor accident, was carried.
The incident took place after 6:30pm on Wednesday evening and can be watched via dashcam footage uploaded online later that day under the title “A Lexus in Yuen Long bumped into the back of a car; dog, man and woman get out and run.”
The title pretty much sums it up.
According to Apple Daily, the cars were driving on the Yuen Long Highway heading towards Kam Tin.
In the video, a woman can be heard having a conversation with a man in the car that was struck. Suddenly, the screech of the Lexus’ brakes can be heard before it rear-ends the car.
Another female passenger can then be heard saying “f*** that hurts.” Another man and woman also in the car ask if she is OK, to which she replies “I’m OK, I’m OK, it hurts” before going on to ask “what is wrong with those people?”
The people of which she speaks don’t stick around long enough to answer her rhetorical question.
Instead, gathering up their dog, the couple decide to make a run for it and hightail it away from their Lexus on foot.

Dash cam footage from another car shows the same incident from a different angle, with the dog in full view.

According to Apple Daily, a 42-year-old female passenger in the car that was hit was taken to hospital because of pain in her back and eyes.
Leo Law, the driver of the car that was hit, posted on a Facebook group dedicated to driving in Hong Kong a screenshot of the couple and their dog, calling on people to help find the trio.
