While fictional British super spy James Bond has often used spy-watches to thwart villains, a Hong Kong correctional service officer is accused of using his camera-equipped timepiece for less noble reasons.

The 22-year-old was arrested for allegedly filming people getting changed by leaving his camera watch in a bathroom.

According to an HK01 report from yesterday afternoon, the suspect surnamed Chow was one of the 30 to 40 party-goers on a junk party from Sai Kung pier to Tai She Wan on Sunday.

At around 5pm that day, police received a report from the owner of the boat that a watch with a camera was found on “shoot mode” in the boat’s bathroom.

According to Apple Daily, marine police arrived at the scene and found footage of three men and two women using the bathroom.

After a preliminary investigation, Chow was arrested on suspicion of using a computer with dishonest intent.

The criminal investigation team of the Wong Tai Sin Police District is following up the case.
