Conservation group demand relics found along rail link be preserved

The discovery of ancient relics, one a square-shaped well, dating back to the Song dynasty (960 to 1279) may largely affect the Hung Hom – Central rail links scheduled completion by 2018.

In fact conservation groups have demanded the relics be properly preserved, with lawmakers criticising the government for failing to be transparent with information regarding the relics.

Concern groups are demanding for the current relic sites be declared a monument and the wells be renovated at their discovered locations, which will largely affect the MTR rail link lines development, reports The Standard.
