Educator and co-founder of Hong Kong’s first and only private school, Shue Yan University, Dr Chung Chi-yung died yesterday at 93-years-old.
Chung was the vice-president and principal of Shue Yan University before her passing.
Chung leaves behind her husband of 69 years and the university president Dr Henry Hu Hung-lick and two sons who are also vice-presidents at the university.
Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying offered his condolences to her family last night, expressing that she was a respected educator who has nurtured many students in Hong Kong.
