Classmates say 10-year-old girl who committed suicide was bullied

So sad but it seems like bullying was the reason why 10-year-old Law Cheuk-kei decided to take her own life by jumping five floors at her primary school, CCC Kei Chun Primary school in Lai King.

Although the school says they were unaware of Law being bullied, messages left on her Facebook wall do seem to indicate she was bullied. One classmate wrote “Bullying affects someone for a lifetime, if you’re against bullying, please share this!” Another female classmate wrote, “Actually I’m really unhappy, why couldn’t you get through it? We’re quite close, and I’ve watched people bully you, why didn’t I help you? I really regret, you’re a kind person, you know?”

The school has been criticised for causing the girl’s death as they did not call the police immediately, instead St. John’s ambulance, delaying the time Law received treatment. The school said they were following guidelines, which was not to call 999 to avoid media attention.
