Civil celebrant gets bride’s name wrong on her wedding day

Of all the things that could go wrong on your wedding day, here are some of the worst: hearing the civil celebrant read your bride’s name wrong, inviting 120 guests to the wedding banquet and discovering that there’s only food for less than half of them, or hearing the civil celebrant read the vows and realise that the special vow you’ve written for your bride is missing.

These are all the nightmare scenarios in complaints filed against wedding service agents last year, which has doubled compared to 2012, according to the Consumer Council.

In light of these complaints, the Consumer Council now advises to-wed couples to choose their wedding agents carefully, and hire experienced agencies with proven track records to avoid messing up your big day.
