Did you see the giant turds floating around Causeway Bay this weekend?
Japanese company TOTO Hong Kong dumped a pile of cartoon dung outside the World Trade Centre as part of its latest promo for “smart toilets”.
The SCMP managed to cut the crap and discover the personified poop’s real identity – Excreman, a sewer-dwelling cartoon character who dreams of being fertiliser.
He rocks toilet roll for a scarf and a chamber pot for a cap (possible inspiration for coping with the colder weather that’s just hit?), and we’re sure onlookers appreciated the brown snowman’s nod to the festive season.
Promo staff also handed out free bog rolls decorated with scenes of Excreman frolicking in picturesque settings – a wonderful addition to every wipe!
It might sound like a bit of a shitty concept, but Causeway Bay was flush with fans, all eager to take selfies with these enormous excrements.
Apparently, crappy campaigns are the best way to log business then.
