Car set on fire at Central Ferry Pier

The police have labeled a car fire that took place around 1am at the Central Ferry Piers this morning as arson after the fire department expressed suspicions.

The fire in question, thought to have started from the trunk of a seven-passenger minivan, was reported to the authorities by a driver in the area, according to Ming Pao. Nobody was hurt.

An examination conducted by firefighters concluded that there were questionable circumstances around the fire and so case was handed to the police.

Officers believe an intruder broke a window and set fire to the van.
