Bus & Grind: Hong Kong mother laments pole dancing ad on Sai Kung minibus

A Hong Kong mum and avid Coconaut has expressed her outrage after seeing a video promoting pole dancing tuition on a minibus TV screen.

Zoe Ng was travelling on the Sai Kung 101 today when she took this picture of a hot pants, heels-clad woman hanging off a pole on the media screen.

“I do feel this pole dancing video is downright inappropriate for public transport. These forms of media should address more pressing issues, of which there are hundreds,” Ng told us.

“Already having to deal with the pornographic lyrics from Michael Wong’s latest catchy song, I feel that pole dancing is not something that should be taken as the norm.”

“A young child was watching this ‘pole demonstration,’ and will go away thinking that women should grind on poles in hooker heels, and this is ‘normal.’ As parents we really need to try and ensure we expose our children to the entertainment we choose.”
