Burglars escape with HK$460,000 worth from two houses in Sha Tin on Father’s Day

Burglars took advantage of families celebrating Father’s Day on Sunday night, ransacking through two houses in Sha Tin and escaping with HK$460,000 worth of cash and valuables.

The first burglary occurred on To Fung Shan Road in Sha Tin where HK$400,000 of jewellery and watches were stolen after the burglars pried open a toilet window to enter the house.

The second burglary happened in San Tin wai New Village on Yiu Wai Street. A two-storey house was ransacked and buglars left with jewellery worth HK$55,000 and HK$1,000 cash.

Police are investigating if the two cases are linked. No arrests have been made, reports the SCMP
