Excuse me burglar, we think you missed stealing some cash!
We don’t know whether this thief was smart or careless as he took the effort to break into a luxury home in Pok Fu Lam, took HK$700,000 worth of watches and jewellery but left thousands of dollars of cash behind.
Homeowner, surnamed Bo, claimed the burglar was super tidy when stealing his valuables in his two-story-home at Aegean Terrace on Sassoon Road. Nothing looked rearranged or moved when they returned home – but nine uninsured limited edition Chopard Mille Miglia worth more than HK$100,000 and a few pieces of his wife’s jewellery were missing.
The couple had left the windows open because they enjoy the breeze and didn’t think anyone could climb the slope into their home. They haven’t had any break-ins before so did not have any security systems installed.
