A 7,500 sq ft luxury home in Pok Fu Lam (7,500 sq ft?!!) belonging to Markus Jebsen, executive chairman of the MF Jebsen group and a direct descendant of Jacob Jebsen — one of the founders of its colonial-era parent company — had a suspected burglar yesterday afternoon.
At 12:30pm, Markus Jebsen was in the bathroom when his wife returned home to find an uninvited guest in the living room. The 74-year-old man tried to escape through a window, but Jebsen’s wife alerted her driver, who was waiting downstairs, and he managed to stop the man. The intruder has a criminal record and was arrested and detained for burglary. Nothing had been taken from the three-storey home.
