The injured pink dolphin that was captured and treated after three weeks of debate between environmental groups has died at Ocean Park, reports Ming Pao.
It is believed the dolphin’s injuries came from a collision with a tour boat near Lantau Island.
Gary Stokes, the director for South East Asia for Sea Shepherds, wrote in a Facebook post that the dolphin, nicknamed Hope, was euthanized this morning after his conditions deteriorated rapidly.
“The biggest question we have is, ‘Would the results be any different if we had got him into vet care two weeks earlier?’” he wrote.
