Bloody scene in Soho as bar brawl ends in glassing

A scrap in Soho turned ugly on the weekend, when a brawl over a lost credit card ended with someone being struck with a glass.

The fracas erupted about 10pm on Saturday night after a 32-year-old foreign national, whose named was reported as Anthony, got into a fight with staff at a Staunton Street bar.

Emotions ran high, according to on.cc, after Anthony was told his credit card had been lost by a worker at the bar.

Things escalated, and the bar brawl soon spilled out onto the street, culminating in one man smashing a glass bottle on Anthony’s head, spilling blood onto the pavement, and then fleeing the scene.

Sing Tao reports that police were called to the scene at around 10:50pm that night, and Anthony was sent to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.

Officers have classified the incident as a wounding case, and are looking for a south Asian man about 1.7 meters tall, wearing all black.
