22-year old office lady gets her mouth cut having a KFC mushroom rice.
The victim identified as Chu, was grabbing a quick dinner at the Shatin Galleria KFC, when working overtime. Two-thirds of her way into her mushroom rice, she felt something hard and sharp in her mouth so quickly spat it out, only to find a 3.5cm by 2cm piece of glass.
Chu immediately reported the incident to the restaurant manager but his response was less than satisfactory – simply asking her to settle the case with a complimentary new bowl of rice.
Chu was not happy with the service and called the government’s complaint hotline 1623. An officer from the Food and Hygiene Department came to investigate the situation.
Apple Daily reports, medical examinations show Chu’s mouth was cut and further observation is required to see if any glass bits got into her digestive system.
