Probably a bummer for all Jamie Oliver fans but the chef is unlikely to be present at the opening of his Hong Kong outlet this summer in Causeway Bay.
The Jamie’s Italian in Hong Kong will be the chef’s second outlet in Asia, following Singapore last July.
Apparently, Oliver is purposely avoiding the opening as he wants the publicity to focus on the restaurant and the team setting it up rather than on him. Luckily, he will definitely be making a visit to Hong Kong in the near future
