Another HK island home burglarised

This family must be beating themselves up for being such deep sleepers as HK$20 million worth of valuables was stolen from their house on The Peak while they were sound asleep! Apparently the husband only woke up at 8:00am to discover the house a mess and valuables missing at their Overthorpe property on Mount Austin Road.

Well you can’t blame them for being in such deep slumber, after all you must work really hard to own so many luxury properties and valuables. According to The Standard, the owner of the house is a Singaporean, former senior management at Goldman Sachs and now owns his own company Super Class Investment. He owns several plush apartments on The Peak and on the island and in total held properties over HK$200 million.

Among the items lost was a blue sapphire stone worth HK$10 million! Jeez, what do people keep in the houses these days.

Just a couple of weeks ago four Hong Kong island flats were burglarised and at one banker’s apartment eight Patek Philippe watches were stolen. Read about it here.
