There have been so many conflicting media reports about the whereabouts of the abducted baby girl, Hoi Ching, and whether she was even actually taken away.
Some point the finger at the baby’s mother for fabricating the entire story for the attention of the baby daddy, as the third mistress, an acquaintance revealed the couple had been arguing about money lately. Read our original story here.
These reports also claim the mother has asked a close friend to take care of Hoi Ching and that neighbours have not seen the baby in the past week or so. Also, no actual images of Hoi Ching were found in CCTV footages sourced in the Kowloon City area. The stroller’s sun shield was always covered so it’s unsure whether the baby was really inside. Hoi Ching’s mother claims the screen was always lowered because it has recently been very cold and windy. Some netizens also feel that the mother appears too calm and collected for a mother who has just had her six-month-old child taken away from her.
There are also two police officers guarding Hoi Ching’s apartment, which is not common protocol for abduction cases. This suggests the police may suspect Hoi Ching’s mother being involved.
Some reports seem to think the father’s other mistresses or wife are involved and have taken Hoi Ching away out of jealousy and anger. However, there have been reports claiming the first wife did not know about the mistress or existence of Hoi Ching until the abduction. Read more about about it here.
And of course there’s still the 40-something year old mainland woman who apparently asked for directions to distract the mother in order for her accomplice, a man which Hoi Ching’s mother can’t describe, to take Hoi Ching away. And since Hoi Ching has now been missing for five days, over the 72 golden hours, it would mean she is likely smuggled and sold in China already (read more about it here). Police has been searching for all over for this woman, but she is nowhere to be found.
