94 percent of citizens want the right to nominate a CE

A poll conducted yesterday showed that 94 percent of citizens want to be able to nominate a chief executive election candidate. About 91 percent not wanting a pre-screening nomination process and 89 percent want more people on the chief executive nominating committee.

The results are based on the 62,000 people who voted in a referendum on political reform organised by Occupy Central yesterday. Voters were able to cast votes online via the POP website, mobile apps, and polling stations at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay.
