Although the Court of Final Appeal has dismissed the seven-year residency requirement for CSSA benefits, a shocking 80 percent of interviewees in a poll of 1,610 residents disagree.
42 percent were concerned about the court’s ruling, and 27.8 percent expressed anger about the decision.
Half of the 82 percent of interviewees who disagree with the ruling say that this is unfair to Hong Kong people who pay taxes, while the other half are worried about burdening the welfare system. What do you think?
