Police in Guangdong have announced the arrest of eight more suspects in the Bossini heiress kidnapping case, as well as the recovery of some of the stolen goods.
After six suspects were arrested in Guangdong and another in Hong Kong last week, a further eight men were apprehended this morning, with official photos on the Guangdong provincial police website showing some of the cash and jewellery recovered.
Queenie Rosita Law, granddaughter of Bossini founder Law Ting-pong, was abducted from her home on Clear Water Bay Road, Sai Kung, by a Putonghua-speaking gang on April 25.
The gang stole around HKD2 million in cash and valuables from the mansion.
Law was held in a cave in Fei Ngo Shan for three days before a HKD28 million ransom was paid for her safe release.
According to a previous report by the SCMP, several gang members fled across the border to mainland China through illegal channels.
