7 schools in Shenzhen to follow Hong Kong curriculum

The government has been trying to mitigate the overflow of Hong Kong born children born to mainland parents trying to secure spots in the North district, and this is just one of the latest schemes.

Hong Kong and Shenzhen have signed an education agreement to allow children born in Hong Kong to mainland parents to enroll in seven schools in Shenzhen. The non-government schools will follow the Hong Kong curriculum and children will be eligible for secondary school placement in Hong Kong in the future.

The RTHK reports, Chief Secretary, Carrie Lam, hopes this will allow more schooling options for students and parents.
