61-year-old man beaten in Fan Ling by 3 assailants, 15-year-old boy arrested

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after he and two others allegedly beat a 61-year-old man in Fan Ling yesterday.

At 7pm, the 61-year-old, surnamed Lee, was sitting on a bench outside a primary school on Fai Ming Road, Oriental Daily reports.

Three males, aged between 15 and 20, approached Lee and reportedly began attacking him, injuring his head and hands. Two of the assailants fled after the attack, but a 15-year-old boy, surnamed So, was apprehended by police.

He was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm, and has been taken into police custody for questioning.

Lee was taken to hospital for treatment. Officers from Tai Po District Police are investigating the case.
