35-year-old filial son worked to death

A 35-year-old man who works 15 hours a day to support his parents is suspected to have died from working too hard.

The man works two jobs — a salesman during the day and the graveyard shift at Circle K — which adds up to 15 hours a day.

Last week, while he was working at Circle K in Causeway Bay, he suddenly fainted and hit his head. He might have been exhausted and so sleepy that he fainted, hitting his head and causing bleeding in the brain. He was only discovered by a co-worker two hours later.

Circle K has agreed to pay for the man’s burial fees and his parents’ future living expenses.
