3-year-old boy from Hong Kong killed in car crash in Japan

A three-year-old boy from Hong Kong was killed in a car crash in Hokkaido while travelling with his family.

The boy’s father was driving a rental car from Sapporo to Asahikawa when the car crashed into a lamppost at 11:50am yesterday, Apple Daily reports.

The whole family was taken to hospital, where the three-year-old tragically died. The boy’s father, mother, and two-year-old brother all sustained injuries.

Local police are investigating the cause of the accident, while the Hong Kong Immigration Department is sending two immigration officers to Hokkaido.
