Bizarre details were uncovered after a 30-year-old man found injured in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday was pronounced brain-dead. Three men were arrested in connection with the case, Sing Tao Daily reports.
The injured man, surnamed Kong, was found on Ashley Road yesterday morning. He was originally thought to have “tripped over” in accordance with what the three suspects told police on the scene. The three, aged 22, 23 and 32, were apparently at a bar with him before he was injured.
Finding circumstances suspicious, the police began investigating claims that Kong had “climbed to the roof of one of the men’s car”, upon which the driver allegedly drove off — apparently, that cause Kong to fall off and hit his head. The three were arrested.
Sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kong’s heart reportedly stopped beating thrice. He was pronounced brain-dead.
As of press time, he remains in critical condition.
