Three men were injured — two of whom were left unconscious — in a shooting and slashing incident that took place in Hong Kong’s Central district in the early hours of Friday morning, local media reported.
They added that police have arrested at least three men in connection with the incident.
A video, which is believed to be dashcam footage of the incident, was circulating on the internet on Friday.
According to Sing Tao Daily, the shooting and slashing occurred at around 2:40am along Wyndham Street.
The three casualties are South Asians. Of the two left unconscious, one is suspected of being shot twice in the back while the other suffered head injuries. The third injured man is believed to have been hit by a van.
The three were sent to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.
The Chinese-language daily quoted sources as saying the incident involved an act of revenge.
The report said that eight knifemen were in two cars, which collided with three other vehicles along Wyndham Street.
One person got out of a vehicle to attack the other group with a machete. Another person from the group that was assaulted responded by firing shots.
Some involved in the incident reportedly fled the scene.
