A 38-year-old man was arrested yesterday at the Hong Kong International Airport after customs officers found two kilos of suspected meth on his body.
The drugs are thought to be worth about HKD850,000.
The suspect was intercepted as he was about to leave for Jakarta, Indonesia.
Customs discovered the drugs “while mounting [an] anti-narcotic operation” at the airport, according to a government press release.
So this guy appears to have chosen the worst day ever to try and smuggle drugs.
The man, who claimed to be unemployed, will be charged with trafficking a dangerous drug and will appear in court today.
