A 29-year-old mother, whose daughter is 15 and has a record of running away from home multiple times, called the cops on her daughter after suspecting she is pregnant.
The single mother lives with her daughter at a Tsz Wan Shan flat. After starting secondary school, the daughter mixed with the wrong crowd and often ran away from home. In fact, records show the mother has called the police many times to look for her missing daughter, and even resorted to sending her to a reformatory school.
Recently, the daughter told her mother that she had sex and might be pregnant, but refused to tell her who the father might be. The mother rushed her to the hospital for a test, which came out negative. Despite the negative pregnancy test, the mother called the police as she felt the matter was serious. The police are currently handling the case as a sexual offence with a minor. The case is also being followed up by a social worker.
