A foreign man fell to his death yesterday while drinking at a rooftop bar in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The incident took place at around 9:50pm, at Eyebar in the iSquare shopping centre on Nathan Road. According to Sing Tao, the deceased, a 21-year-old Portuguese man named Thomas, was eating and drinking alone at the bar’s 30th-floor terrace before he suddenly hurled himself over the security fencing.

Pedestrians who saw the man fall alerted authorities, and he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance with serious head injuries. He was certified dead shortly afterwards.

Responding police seized the man’s backpack from the scene, and have said they do not currently believe that any foul play was involved.
