20 youngsters take on 7 middle-aged men in Mong Kok street fight

At 11pm on Saturday night, a group of about 20 young men got into a fight with seven middle-aged men in front of Langham Place in Mong Kok, reports Apple Daily

A certain Mr. Jin told the newspaper that he heard lots of shouting and swearing as he was walking near the H&M store in Langham Place, and soon came across a large group of people fighting. He estimates that about 20 young men were exchanging punches and kicks with seven middle-aged men.

The young men, which he described as “MK Jais”, or “Mong Kok boys”, were not wearing surgical masks (triad members often wear masks in public), according to Jin.

Jin shot a 43-second clip on his phone, in which a someone is heard shouting “So you want to fight?” and “Don’t move!”

Eventually the fight broke up, but not before the middle-aged men chased after the youngsters one last time, shouting “Don’t come back!”

The police arrived, dispersing the men once and for all. Jin suspects some men were injured in the fight.

Jin said he had never seen anything like this, and that he was scared. “Everyone was watching but no one dared to intervene,” he said.

His girlfriend, surnamed Cheung, said that as soon as she sees people fighting, she’ll “immediately put on glasses and watch”.
