A 20-year-old who went missing on Wednesday, is feared to have committed suicide.
The young man, Lee Shu-yuen, left a seven-page long letter expressing his guilt about being addicted to gambling, and asked his siblings to study and work hard and help take care of their parents. One of Lee’s brothers revealed that Lee had gathered debts of about HK$50,000 which Lee’s father had offered to help pay, but Lee refused to accept his help.
Lee’s bag was found floating by the Shing Mun River by a woman – and police divers are currently searching the river for Lee, who might have drowned.
