Two boys, aged 11 and 13, were arrested on Thursday night when they were allegedly caught having sex with an 11-year-old girl, and filming one another on their cellphones.
Security guards at Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun saw the three children in a back stairwell on a CCTV camera feed, and notified the police, reports Oriental Daily.
The police arrived on the scene and found the two boys hanging out in a building corridor. Upon checking their mobile phones, the officers found shocking footage of the two children having sex with a young girl.
The boys allegedly took turns having sex with the girl and filming each other.
The police located the girl in her home and took her to hospital to be examined.
The two boys were arrested for having sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 13.
All three children’s parents were notified and asked to go to the police station for questioning.
Having sex with a girl under the age of 13 is a very serious charge, and if found guilty, it can mean life in prison.
However, because the boys are under the age of 14, it is likely that the two will be sent to a correctional institution rather than prison, according to a barrister interviewed by Oriental Daily.
