A 45-year-old woman and 34-year-old man were arrested on Saturday after customs officials found 132 iPhones and 26 Apple Watches in their car as they were driving across the border to Shenzhen.
The pair were driving a seven-seater van when they were intercepted by customs at the Lok Ma Chau control point in the New Territories.
The officials found the not-very-well-concealed electronics inside a backpack in the passenger compartment as well as in a suitcase in the boot.

The two have been charged with exporting unmanifested cargo and will appear in court today.
The maximum penalty for attempting to import or export unmanifested cargo is a fine of HKD2 million and seven years’ imprisonment.
