13-year-old boy jumps to his death following academic troubles

A 13-year-old boy reportedly jumped from his family’s flat in a residential building in Bay View, To Kwan Wan yesterday morning.

At 8am, the father of the boy heard a loud noise and discovered his son unconcsious and severely injured on the 6th floor terrace below.

The father called the police immediately, reports Oriental Daily.

Police officers and firefighters arrived on the scene and broke a staircase window in order to reach the boy. He was declared dead at the scene.

No suicide note was found.

It is reported that the boy had been unhappy and facing academic troubles at school.
