After being reported missing twice from an elderly home over the weekend, the 103-year-old woman, surnamed Lau, was last found floating in the harbour near Kwun Tong pier, unconscious yesterday morning.
The female pedestrian that noticed her in the water called the police, but Lau was confirmed dead when she arrived at United Christian Hospital, reports The Standard.
Lau was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and dementia however, although police don’t find anything suspicious about her death, it’s unsure whether her illnesses caused yesterday’s incident.
