A gang of 10 knife-wielding men reportedly attacked two men on Nam Cheong Estate in Sham Shui Po at around 9pm on Saturday evening.

Video of the incident – which was partially recorded by a witness – shows the attackers pulling the driver and passenger of a seven-seater out of the car before robbing them of HKD122,000 in cash, three phones worth a combined HKD7,300, a bag worth HKD20,000, and a Rolex watch worth HKD120,000.
Some of the assailants can also be seen kicking the car repeatedly on video.
The car’s driver, a 22-year-old surnamed Chu, was punched and kicked for around two minutes, while his passenger, a 23-year-old surnamed Chan, ran away and escaped injury.
Police later arrived on the scene, while Chu was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The assailants, whom the police believe have gang backgrounds, reportedly included eight men of South Asian descent and two local men of Chinese descent.
A source told Apple Daily that Chu and Chan were in the area to collect a debt, and did not rule out the possibility that the incident was a result of gang conflict.
At approximately 4pm yesterday, police from Sham Shui Po District’s Anti-Triad Squad arrested a man surnamed Lin in Hung Hom to help in their investigations.
